Non ho l’abitudine di guardare la TV, diciamo che resta spenta per la maggior parte del tempo, tranne quando voglio un notiziario o magari noleggio un buon film. Per il resto considero un buon 90% di ciò che è trasmesso spazzatura, o poco più.
E’ credo un problema comune a molte nazioni, l’Italia bovinamente segue la corrente e quindi è anche qui tutto uguale, alla stessa ora su emittenti in concorrenza, si trovano programmi analoghi, poi notiziari analoghi (cosa ci sarà di vero? ma questo è un altro discorso ancora) e pubblicità infinite fra una parte noiosa e l’altra del programma trasmesso.
C’è un certo appiattimento generale che non fa proprio benissimo al senso “sociale” che potrebbe avere la TV o forse dovrebbe avere… passare informazioni, dare cultura… una volta esistevano le emittenti un po’ alternative, reti che davano spazio ai pensieri per i giovani, o per alcune categorie con programmi appositamente studiati. Ricordo che DJ Television era un must vero e proprio e che quando MTV ha iniziato le trasmissioni in chiaro per 24 ore al giorno, era un passo avanti. Poi mano a mano tutto si è di nuovo standardizzato. Non seguo molto la radio, ma penso che lo stesso problema sia ribaltabile con facilità anche in quel settore. Forse per la radio è un po’ più facile trovare ambienti musicali differenti, sopratutto con il dilagare delle radio via web che forniscono -è da dire- un ottimo servizio.
E pensiamo che si paga anche una tassa per avere il “diritto” di essere informati attraverso la televisione… ad onor del vero va specificato che la tassa copre anche l’utilizzo del web.
Giuro che a volte non capisco come vanno le cose… chissà.
Lo stesso discorso vale in ambito musicale, ma penso che userò un apposito spazio per parlarne più avanti…
Ma intanto il sole sta tramontando, sono circa le 9.30 ormai… e spengo la TV, è proprio un brusio fastidioso mentre si guarda il tramonto…

I don’t watch TV, not that much at least… we can say that I just use it for the daily news, a good rented movie… things like that. So it seems like it’s turned off almost 90% of the time… the remaining 10% sounds like rubbish to me or a little more…
I think that this is an issue that is a problem in lot of places all over the world. Italy, of course, is a good sheep in the pasture land so… we just follow the shepard! So, at a given time… we have broadcastings on different TV stations that are pretty the same. Format, so they call them… SHIT, so I call them. So you can get the same stupid game, the same news (supposingly they are not fake but it’s another subject, no time for that now) and we get commercials all of the time between a boring and another boring part of the show.
It’s quite flat, you know… and this is no good for the TV intended as an institution, meaning culture, meaning informations and so on. I remember years ago we had some innovation on this field… a broadcasting called DJ Television which was amazing for the time being… then when MTV was not encrypted anymore well… that was a good leap forward.
But now everything is stereotyped once again, it’s all fake, plastic… I don’t know. I don’t know how things are going on the radio, but I guess it’s pretty the same… even if maybe there actually IS a difference… because of the infinite number of free web radio according to tastes of every kind. I would like to warn everyone that we DO pay a specific tax for the “right” to receive information from the TV. To be honest the use of the web is contemplated in that tax.

I think quite the same about music… but I guess I am going to use another section of this blog later for that…
Oh… it’s around 9.30PM now… and the sun is going down, I will turn my TV off then, the noise clashes with the sunset.
