Vorrei con questa concludere la discussione, o quantomeno evitare di aprire nuovi post a riguardo.
Il mio amico Biz ha pubblicato sul suo blog stralci di conversazioni via mail fra i Kidz riguardanti il dopo-concerto. Se volete leggere cosa è capitato andate qui. C’è anche una poco velata critica nei confronti di quanto è apparso su un giornale locale (La Stampa) ad opera di una giornalista critica musicale. [Rileggendo la frase mi sembra di parlare in lingua Star Trek ma è così… Biz, blog, Kidz…]
Decido di fare un passo in più, vado sul sito di Stew e faccio un semplice copia/incolla di quanto scritto a riguardo del concerto. Gli accessi al mio blog sono saliti vertiginosamente in poche ore e nel momento in cui scrivo ci sono 7 (dico sette) pagine di commenti alla mia “recensione”. Di queste la maggior parte delle pagine è piena di insulti più o meno espliciti al mio indirizzo. So che è un po’ come entrare in luogo sacro e subito proporsi come blasfemo ma penso che in una società dove il diritto di opinione ha un senso… beh… quel che uno pensa e dice debba essere in qualche modo rispettato. Ovvio ci sono delle limitazioni in questo ma diciamo che non penso di aver fatto nulla di male a dire la mia, forse proprio nella speranza che qualcuno dei “tre” possa leggere e farsi un’idea di cosa sente il pubblico. Mi fa un po’ pensare il fatto che delle 65.000 persone presenti al concerto la mia sia l’unica voce a parlare su un sito così particolare ma forse è solo questione di coraggio o una specie di incoscienza, non so.
Alcuni commenti preoccupati per una possibile delusione quando il tour arriverà negli States, altri semplicemente inorriditi… altri ancora in modo intelligente dicono che un peto anche se di Andy è comunque un peto e non una cosa così particolare da venire osannata a prescindere. Pensavo ci fosse un po’ più di obiettività in tutto questo, ma forse le persone sono contente di ammirare i loro idoli pensando che siano semplicemente infallibili senza ammettere la vera verità… che in fondo sono persone esattamente come noi, e per questo fallibili.
Sono comunque contento di quel che ho fatto, penso solo che se avessi avuto l’idea di scrivere sul sito di Sting una cosa simile forse avrei già un avvocato a difendermi (anche io… loro se ne portano uno a testa in giro per tutto il tour!)
E quindi cosa ascolto adesso? Quale la miglior colonna sonora a questo post? Direi So lonely…
I would like to put an end to this Police-live-show-thing… or at least I’d like this to be the last post about it.
My friend Biz posted on his blog a few parts of e-mails about this concert. If you’re interested you can see them here. You will find a little discussion between me and the other Kidz (a band I play in from time to time) and some little critic to what has been published on a national newspaper from a music reporter.
Then… then I decided that this is not enough and so I cut and paste my post about the show and I put it on Stew’s site. In few hours the counter of my blog went mad and at the time being I have 7 (and I say SEVEN) pages of comments of my “review” on his site. Best part of those 7 pages is full of vilification more or less polite. I know I know… it’s like getting in a meeting house (say a Church i.e.) and show how profane you are with your words. Myself, I think that in a free society with freedom of speach every word I say has a meaning and has to be respected for what it means. Of course there are boundaries to all that but I still think I did nothing bad when I decided to say my opinion, maybe I was kinda hoping that since there was 65.000 people attending the show my voice was not the only one. But I am wrong and naive like most of the times!
Some of them are worried for a possible delusion when the tour will hit the States, some others are simply angry from my words… some others somehow brilliant say that a fart is still a fart even if is Andy’s fart and not something to like and appreciate come what may! The hard cold thruth in the end is maybe that they are just PEOPLE and so… they can make mistakes, just like all us.
Anyway I feel fine about what I did, I just think that if I had a different idea, like for instance writing my review on Sting’s site maybe there would be somewhere a lawyer ready to take my sides (yes a lawyer, me too… they have one lawyer each with them and will follow the band until this tour is finished!)
So, what song can I listen now? I guess that So Lonely is the good one…
