Ieri sera un odore acre e pungente si è liberato nel momento in cui ho acceso il PC. Volevo andare avanti con i lavori sui pezzi ma non mi è stato possibile. Il disco su cui erano contenuti tutti i dati, tutte le registrazioni, tutte le cose da conservare anche non necessariamente aderenti al progetto “Note Sparse” è andato perduto. Mi resta un backup di circa un mese fa. Non è esattamente utile ma è meglio di niente.
Tutto da rifare quindi…
E dire che l’ho sempre detto a tutti: quando si parla di computer esistono solo due categorie di persone, chi ha già perso i dati e chi ancora deve perderli, fai sempre un backup di ogni cosa… ma questa volta non ho dato ascolto alle mie stesse parole.

Porca merda!
It was yesterday night, a deep and tedious smell of electronic part gone bad as soon as I turned my PC on. I wanted to work on my songs but no way. What happened, the hard disk containing all the files of the recordings, my documents, whatever you can imagine not strictly connected to my band is lost. There’s a backup of it but it’s quite old now, more or less one month ago. This is not really useful but it’s a starting point.
So, I need to start over
Funny that I have always said to anybody: when you talk about computers there are just two kind of people, the ones who lost their files already, and the ones that are bound to lose them, so back up everything!
But this time i didn’t listen to my own words
