Un anno fa circa il tour dei Police ha toccato l’Italia e fortuna delle fortune proprio Torino è stata la città scelta per la loro esibizione. Se per curiosità volete dare uno sguardo rapido ai miei pensieri a riguardo leggete qui, qui e qui. Oggi ho dato un’occhiata alle pagine di Forbes… non sono ricco e quindi il mio era puro spirito informativo ma mi è venuto in mente di cercare notizie che potessero riguardare i guadagni più o meno pubblici di alcune star del rock.

Guarda caso… il loro tour (questi dati sono riferiti ai guadagni del 2007) è stato il più redditizio. Ora, non voglio andare ad indagare quali cause artistiche hanno spinto Sting a contattare i rispettivi manager di Copeland e Summers, ma le motivazioni economiche sono piuttosto evidenti… peraltro almeno dal mio punto di vista, il loro show è stato piuttosto deludente…

It was almost one year ago and the Police hit Italy with their tour and… best of luck… Turin was the venue for their show. Today I was browsing through Forbes’ pages on the web, being no rich at all it’s obvious to think that I am just curious… and I searched for the past year profits realted to the music biz.

As a matter of fact, their tour (this list is in reference to year 2007 only) was the best one. Now, I don’t want to know the artistic reasons that pushed Sting to call the other two (via manager I suppose)… but the economic motivations are pretty clear to anyone… my point of view about their show has not changed over the past year… pretty deluding.
